Leadership Strategy Paper
Management is established from the characteristics of leaders. Command is a series of action directing others through various techniques to accomplish shared objectives (Yukl, 2010). Leadership characteristic is broad, and a few distinct approaches produced to study that. Yukl (2010) classified five approaches, situational approach, characteristic approach, power-influence approach, behavior approach, and integrative way. An overview of trait approach will be reviewed as well as the pros and cons of this way and one of trait command used in an organization will be supplied too. Trait Approach
The trait approach is one of the original approached used for studying leadership. Feature approach is based on attributes of leaders such as purposes, personality, expertise, and worth (Yukl, 2010). This approach is dependent on the belief many people are natural leaders, energized with particular traits which make him or her wonderful leaders (Yukl, 2010). The earlier leadership ideas featured bureaucratic success with superior abilities such as endless energy, strange insight, compelling influential power and invasive perception (Yukl, 2010). The trait way gives the possible leaders a set of traits they can develop cleverness, self-confidence, willpower, integrity, and sociability (Abolrous, n. d. ). This approach suggests organizations would function better if managers had leadership skills, and choosing the right manager with having these skills increases the company effectiveness (Abolrous, n. g. ). Attribute Approach Strengths
Leadership from a trait approach has many characteristics good for the accomplishment an organization. The trait approach indicates commanders should have good verbal ability instinctive ability and capable of use logistics when hooking up with others (Abolrous, in. d. ).
